There are several elementary schools in our part of the city, but I have not been overly excited about any of them. My daughter has a few special needs issues that need to be addressed for her to learn successfully. Instead of wanting to make small modifications for her learning style, they insist she work just like the other children. We seem to be at an impasse. I am seriously thinking about taking her out of this environment altogether. Her self-esteem is beginning to be wounded by so many failed grades. Paying private tuition for a special school was not in our budget, but my daughter is definitely worth the sacrifice.
