I couldn’t believe it when I first arrived in Brisbane and found that the supermarkets did not have wine for sale in them. I have been so used to the convenience of this in NZ that it took me a while of having to remember to do a separate trip to the bottle shop. I have to say that I do miss being able to buy everything I would need for a barbeque all in one hit at one place. I suppose it is somewhat of a trade off though, in exchange for this slight inconvenience you get beautiful weather and beaches nearby.
